Why Silk?

Naturally Kind to Skin and Hair

Silk glides over skin, reducing the friction that can cause overnight creasing and dryness. Unlike cotton, it doesn’t absorb your skincare — it keeps moisture where it belongs.

  • Reduces Fine Lines & Sleep Creases

Silky smooth fibres create less friction meaning less pulling on delicate skin.

  • Moisture Retaining

Unlike cotton silk doesn't steal your skincare, helping your skin stay hydrated overnight.

  • Hair-Friendly

Minimises frizz, split ends, and breakage.

  • Hypoallergenic

Gentle on sensitive and blemish prone skin and scalps.

Cool When It’s Warm, Warm When It’s Cool

Silk is naturally thermoregulating, helping your body maintain a comfortable temperature all night long. It’s breathable, moisture-wicking, and ideal for hot sleepers or those experiencing overheating.

  • Temperature Regulating

Keeps you cooler in summer, warmer in winter. Ideal for any hormonal changes especially postpartum and perimenopause.

  • The Softest Natural Fabric

We choose digital printing for its precision, vibrancy, and sustainability. Unlike traditional methods, it captures every nuance of our hand-painted artwork — from delicate brushstrokes to rich, layered colours — using hundreds of tones with exceptional clarity. It’s a more expensive process, but one that honours the detail in every design. It’s also kinder to the environment, using significantly less water, ink, and energy than conventional printing.

Beauty, Comfort & Craft Woven into Every Thread

For over 5,000 years, silk has been treasured for its unmatched softness, glow, and strength. Legend tells of an empress who first discovered silk when a cocoon fell into her tea — unraveling to reveal the world’s most luxurious thread. Once reserved for royalty, silk is still celebrated today for how it makes us feel: rested, radiant, and beautifully at ease.

Ancient Craft, Modern Ritual

Silk’s story began in ancient China and has passed through royal courts, ateliers, and now our studio in Devon. We honour this legacy by using only long-fibre, 19 momme mulberry silk — printed with original hand-painted artwork and finished with care.

  • Hand Painted Designs

All designs are hand painted by Helen using watercolour on cotton rag paper.

  • Digital Printing

Our prints are brought to life using high-quality digital printing — a more sustainable method that captures every colour and brushstroke in exceptional detail, while using less ink and water than traditional techniques.
